We have compiled some questions and answers about the Alpen Adria Swim Cup for you. If you have any further questions or if anything is unclear, please feel free to contact us personally.
Rules
Each AASC Event 2024 counts towards the overall ranking. The points are added up. In case of a tie, the winner is the person with the most event participations. Prizes will be awarded for 1st to 3rd place in the women's and men's overall standings. There is no drop result. Cupwertung

You can find the intermediate results of the Cup on: my.raceresult.com
After the last event, the award ceremony for the "overall winners of the AlpenAdriaSwimCup" (men and women) will take place.

Fairness
Every buoy relevant to the respective competition must be swum around. If a buoy is ignored, this will result in disqualification. Ignoring a relevant checkpoint for the respective competition (from a distance of 10.0 km and more) will result in disqualification.
Folgende Neopren Regeln gelten beim Alpen Adria Swim Cup:
Unter 18,0 Grad ist der Neoprenanzug Pflicht, ab 24.0 Grad generell verboten.
Je nach Bedingungen und Wetterverlauf über den Eventtag - z.B. bei starkem Sonnenschein - behaltet sich der Veranstalter das Recht bei Wassertemperaturen knapp unter 24 Grad den Neopren zu verbieten. Ebenso in Ausnahmefällen, dass eine Neoprenpflicht bei einer Wassertemperatur über 24 Grad - z.B. bei einer herannahender Kaltfron, hoher Wellengang, etc - verhängt wird.
Die Entscheidung fällt immer am Eventtag bei der Wettkampfbesprechung.

What is the All Event Ticket?With the All Event Ticket, you can take part in one competition at each event of the season. You can choose the distance. The only exceptions are the 34 km and the 17.5 km at the Wörthersee (incl. SUP accompaniment) as well as the Swim-Run-Swim competition at Längsee.

How can I register?Online registration for the individual competitions is possible up to two days before the event. Registration for the All Event Ticket is only possible online.

Is late registration possible?Yes, late registration is possible up to 1 hour before the start of the respective distance at the race office.

Are there toilets and shower or changing facilities on site?You can find information about this under the schedule for each event.

How do I get to the event site?You will find the address of the event site in the schedule of the individual events.

Where can I find the race office?It is located directly at the event site.

What does Allstars mean?Allstars (Everyman:woman) is our name for the 500 m distance for adults.

Is there any information on the route?You can find details about the routes in our videos under the respective events. You will also receive more information on the day of the event at the race briefing.

Do I have to register on site on the day of the event?Yes, if you are already registered, you only have to register at the race office (check-in). You will also receive your start bag here. If you are not yet registered, you can register directly at the race office.

When do I have to be on site at the latest?You should be at the race office for registration (check-in) at least 1 hour before the competition (late registration deadline).

Where can I park?The parking options are noted in the schedule of the respective event.

When do I have to use a buoy?For 250 m (Kids) and 500 m (Kids and Allstars) the swimming buoy is mandatory. For all other distances, you can swim with or without a buoy.

I have forgotten my buoy, what do I do?You can borrow a buoy for a deposit of € 20.00 at the race office.

Is neoprene allowed?If the water temperature is below 18 degrees, wearing a neoprene suit is mandatory. If the water temperature is between 18 and 24.5 degrees, wearing neoprene is permitted. At a water temperature of 24.5 degrees or more, neoprene is prohibited.

Where do I have to wear the chip?The chip for timekeeping must be worn on the left or right leg, above the ankle.

Do I have to wear a swimming cap?Yes, you must wear the bathing cap provided by the organizer.

Is it possible to bring my own food?Of course; on the long distances (10 km and more) you can also leave your own food at the official refreshment station.

Where and when does the competition briefing take place?You can find the details in the schedule of the respective event.

Is there a cut-off time?Yes, the cut-off time for each event is noted in the schedule.

Where can I leave my clothes or belongings during the competition?There is an athletes' area at every event where you can leave your belongings, but we assume no liability.

How does the swim start take place?The swim start takes place from the water and is a mass start.

Will there be refreshments after the competition?A refreshment station with drinks and snacks is set up for the athletes in the finish area of the event site after the finish.

How do I find out the results of the competition?A results list for each competition (men and women) will be posted on site at the end of each competition. Later you will also find a link on our homepage under the respective event or directly at: my.raceresult.com An age group evaluation is available online.

Is there a separate classification for swimmers with and without neoprene?No, there are no separate classifications.

Where does the award ceremony take place?The award ceremony (per competition and for men and women) will take place at the event site. The award ceremony for the overall ranking (men and women) will also take place at the last AASC station.

Do I get a medal?Every finisher receives a medal from us when they cross the finish line.
